Such as Aardvark, Spectrum, Amaco, Duncan and Mayco.

However, you can mix your own, The formulas are everywhere.

Varies

Put it together

The first one will take you all day.

The second one will take about 3 hours

The fifth one will take about 2 hours

Randy Brodnax built one at the first workshop he did here in 20 mins.

We pulled the first pot out 1 hour later.

Last, take a Workshop.

Take one from someone that knows what they are doing.

Anyone can throw a pot in a kiln and then stick it in a trash can full of paper. Lots of fire and smoke and ugly broken pots.

Like everything else in pottery. There's more to it than cooking dirt.

That's it! This is all you really need to do Raku.

If your thrifty, you can come in under $200 for the kiln

Kiln Workshops

Every couple of months we have a workshop on Electric Kilns that covers the basic and not so basic aspects of firing and maintaining your kiln. If you don't know the difference between 240 and 208 volts, single and three phase, cone 6 and 06, crazing and dunting, the $49 for the workshop can save you a bunch! Buy a Kiln from us and I'll throw in the workshop for free!
