The Holiday Season is upon us. We've brought in extras of items that are great for gifts. They're also at competitively low prices!!!! But, never forget that we also have gift-certificates that you can collect for a larger purchase, such as the workshop you really want to go to or the new wheel or slab roller.
There are also some great events to attend such as the Boston Mountain Potters Association Holiday party, and any one of the many artist group sales or private sales in our area. Check out all the wonderful work being created locally, and as always, bring a friend or two along to share it with. See below for a list of a few of the ones I have heard of.

Workshops at Flat Rock Clay
Saturday December 1, 11a-3p. Get your fine-point brushes out for a one day seminar on Painting Detail with our newest underglazes. We will also be using the new Texture Medium from ChromaColour. Bisque plaques will be provided and are just in time for Holiday Gift-Giving. Saturday December 8, 2007 Kiln Firing & Maintenance Workshop for $49 including lunch 10a-4p. It is approved for Teaching credits in Arkansas. Check website for workshop details. Secure Sign-Up
Randy Brodnax Workshop for Late Feb to Early March, 2008 for a full 5 days of throwing (limited to 10) culminating with a Raku Day (limited to 20). Dates and specifics coming next week on the website.
Lana Wilson for April, 12-13, 2008 have scheduled and specifics coming next week on the website.

Empty Bowls 2007 and 2008. The Soup dinner at George's Majestic on Dickson, Tuesday, November 13 Was a GREAT SUCCESS. We will be presenting the Ozark Food Bank with a check for over $6,000 in the next week or two. Thank you all for all that you did from making bowls to volunteering your time and resources. We are starting on the 2008 Empty Bowls and it will be Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Georges for the food bank again. Our first meeting will be in Jan 2008. Look for information very soon.
